Pack 711 is open to boys and girls, kindergarten through 5th grade. You can apply to join Scouting here, or search for Cub Scout Pack 711 via https://beascout.scouting.org/. We accept new scouts year round!
If you'd like to find out more about our program first check out what we do.
You can also reach out directly with any questions you may have.
We never want cost to prohibit someone from joining scouts. Scholarships are available both at a Pack and District level. Please contact us if you would like more information about scholorships.
Pack/National dues & fees cover the cost of an entire year. These are used to pay for pack activities, supplies, awards, events, council camp upkeep. etc.
The total dues/membership fees for a year of scouting is $200 (K-4th grade) / $170 (5th grade). These are broken down into two parts.
Pack Dues: $115 (K-4th grade) / $85 (5th grade). These are paid directly to the pack and cover the entire school year.
5th grade dues are reduced because these scouts will cross over into the Troop (older scouts) in February and not continue in the pack for the full school year.
Note: these may be prorated if you join part way through the school year. E.g. 50% dues if you join half way through the year.
National Membership Fee: $85. More information can be found here. These are collected yearly from Scouting America when you enroll / renew your membership.
We do our best to avoid any other extra expenses, with two exceptions.
Campouts: We typically charge $10/person for campouts. This covers the campsite costs and all the food for the entire weekend.
Uniforms: Â Each scout is responsible for purchasing their own uniform. We do have a small number of used uniforms available for new scouts, but supply is limited. See the Uniforms page for more information.
Q: Are scouts grouped by grade?
A: Most activities are grouped by grade level ("Dens"), but we also have monthly "Pack" meetings and other events where all grades participate.
Q: When do you meet?
A: Check out our Calendar for meeting schedules.
